Vernon DPW Announces Christmas Trash and Recycling Schedule
Vernon DPW officials have outlined holiday changes to the trash and recycling schedule.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Day and on Tuesday, Jan, 1, 2019 in observance of New Year’s Day.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on those days but instead will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 26, and Wed., Jan. 2, 2019, respectively, along with that day's regular collections.
The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 23, and again on Sunday, Dec. 30.
