VERNON, CT — The regional probate court is moving proceedings along amid coronavirus restrictions much the same way as the local school systems — with remote conferences.

The probate court is located in Vernon Town Hall and serves Ellington and Vernon.

A court official on Tuesday said, as of now, hearings are being conducted via telconference. Video conferencing is expected soon, the official said. Though the town hall building is technically closed to the public, documents can be filed electronically or dropped off at the front door after first calling the probate court (860-872-0519) or the front desk at (860-870-3600), the official said.
