Vernon Fire Department Mourning Loss Of Longtime Cherished Member

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Fire Department of mourning the loss of a cherished member.

Kathy Call passed away on July 13 at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness. She was married to former Chief Bill Call for 19 years.

The fire department released the following statement:

"The Town of Vernon Fire Department extends its deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Kathy Call. Kathy was an active member of 25-plus years and served in many capacities including the EMS Division, EMS and CPR Instruction, Peer Support, and State of CT Critical Incident Stress Management Team. Most of all she was a friend who cared greatly for others and their wellbeing."
