VERNON, CT — A cold weather tradition in Vernon is right around the corner.

Registration is open for the annual Arctic Splash event. This year's version is slated for Saturday, Dec. 2.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Cornerstone, in memory of late director Bryan Flint and the Send a Kid Scholarship Fund.

The Arctic Splash takes place with a leap in Valley Falls Pond. Prizes are awarded for the best team and individual costumes.
