Vernon Home Again Involved in Violent Incident: Police
A home in Vernon has now been the scene of two recent violent incidents, police said.

VERNON, CT — For the Second time in three months, Vernon police have responded to a violent incident at a home on Elm Street.
The latest incident at 20 Elm St. took place at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. While authorities were investigating a noise complaint, a resident, identified as 32-year-old Jason Hockla, assaulted officers, according to a police report. He was charged with assault on public safety officers and interfering, records show.
The same home was the target of a home invasion on Sept. 11, police said. Four juveniles were turned over to juvenile authorities in the case and a gun police described as "an assault rifle" that was used in the crime was confiscated by investigators, an incident report indicates.

Two of the juveniles are facing charges that include of home invasion, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault with a firearm, the use of an assault weapon for an A, B or C felony, illegal possession of an assault weapon, illegal possession of a high capacity magazine, the use of a machine gun in a violent crime, negligent storage of a firearm, second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an emergency call, sixth-degree larceny,conspiracy to commit home invasion, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault.
One juvenile is facing charges that include home invasion, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault witha firearm, use of an assault weapon for an A, B or C felony, illegal possession of an assault weapon, second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an emergency call, conspiracy to commit home invasion, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault.

The fourth juvenile is facing charges that include home invasion, first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit home invasion, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
The victims of the home invasion were known to the juveniles, police said. They sustained what police described at non-life threatening injuries.
