The event is slated for Legion Field with the first game at 9 a.m. Two morning games are on tap: <ul><li>Vernon bantam girls vs. Ellington, 9 a.m.</li><li>Vernon bantam boys vs. South Windsor at 10:30 a.m. </li></ul>A flag-raising ceremony - complete with an honor guard - the singing of the National Anthem and honorary draw at midfield and team introductions are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Afternoon games and estimated start times are: <ul><li>Vernon junior girls vs. Ellington at 1 p.m.</li><li>Vernon junior boys vs. Meriden at 2:15 p.m. </li><li>Vernon senior girls vs Pomfret at 3:30 p.m. </li><li>Vernon senior boys vs Berlin at 5 p.m.</li></ul>Patch File Photo

At just the age of 2, Everett started picking up trash at his apartment complex and at local community events. Almost 5, Everett has helped his community by protecting the Monarch Butterflies. He was awarded by Mayor Moran of Manchester, CT for protecting the Monarch Butterflies through the Mayor's Monarch Pledge! He has a heart to teach kids and adults about the environment and conservation through books and experiences that both young and old can participate in and help protect the environment!
