Vernon Man Accused of Faking ID Theft to Cover Delinquent Power Bills
The Vernon man was arrested on two charges.

VERNON, CT — A local man is accused to trying to rip off a power company by fabricating an identity theft, police said.
Daniel Horn, 23, who lives at Unit 137 of the Woodmere Place condominium complex at 655 Talcottville Road, was charged on Tuesday with interfering and falsely reporting an incident, according to an arrest report.
Horn is accused of opening an account with Eversource Energy in May 2015 and granting a female acquaintance access to the account, according to an arrest report. Police did not specify by how much the account was delinquent, but did say neither he nor his friend were paying the bill.

When Eversource began trying to get what was not paid, he reported the matter as an identity theft, police said.
Horn posted a $5,000 bond and has a May 2 court date, police said.
