Vernon Man Charged In Berlin Bank Robbery Case
A Vernon man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that took place in Berlin.

BERLIN, CT — A Vernon man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that took place in Berlin about four months ago.
A warrant was served in the case on Jan. 15. The robbery took place on June 4 at the TD Bank, 1127 Farmington Ave., police said.
Frederick Johansen, 34, of Vernon, was charged with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.

Johansen’s failed to post a $250,000 bond and is currently incarcerated at the Hartford Correctional Center, police said.
After distributing a description and photo of the suspect and vehicle in June, investigators received a number of tips and leads that were pursued, police said.
