Vernon Man With Multiple Cases Charged With Ignoring Court Order

A man with a history of charges was arrested again in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A visit to place he was not supposed to be visiting cost a Vernon man a protective order violation charge and a high bond.

Jamal Gilbert, who lives on Village Street in the Rockville section of Vernon, was also charged with second-degree criminal mischief, according to an arrest report.

He was held overnight Tuesday on a $75,000 bond and was to appear in court on Wednesday, according to an arrest report.

He has a history of similar behavior, court and police records show. In Aug. 2017, he was arrested in Vernon for second-degree breach of peace. In November 2017, he was arrested in Vernon for violating a protective order, records show.

He is due in court on April 26 for those cases, records show.
