Vernon Man Seriously Injured After Hit By Car In I-91 Work Zone
A construction worker from Vernon was hospitalized after being hit by a car on I-91 Wednesday night.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Vernon man was seriously injured after being hit by a car while working at a construction site on I-91 in Middletown on Wednesday night.
Dillon Peterson, 27, was hospitalized after the crash with what was believed to be serious injuries, according to NBC Connecticut.
At about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, two cars vehicles collided near the beginning of the construction zone and one of the cars then crossed into the project area where Peterson was putting out orange cones and safety signs, according to FOX 61.

A portion of the highway near Exits 20 and 21 on I-91 North in Middletown was closed for several hours as state troopers investigated the crash.
