Vernon Obituary: Bernadette Gompper, 67

Bernadette M. Gompper, 67, of Staffordville, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016.

She was born in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Ciolek) Tontlewicz. Bernadette was the owner of Businas Polish Restaurant in Vernon, and a member of the Staffordville Gospel Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Henry M. Gompper, Jr.; brother Terry and his wife Lynn of Utah; two sisters, Charmaine of Florida and Catherine of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, David Lapp; and two sisters, Roberta and Anjelica.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Staffordville Gospel Church, 375 East St., Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in Stafford Street Cemetery, Stafford Springs.
