Vernon Obituary: Brian Giard, 54

Brian J. Giard, 54, of Ellington, beloved husband of Janice Messino Giard, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Born in Manchester, son of Henry and Carol (Dupuis) Giard of Vernon; he was raised in Vernon and graduated from Rockville High School and attended technical school for HVAC work. He had been an altar server at St. Bernard's Church as a young boy. Brian was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Company, East Hartford for many years.

Besides his wife Janice of 20 years, he leaves one son Anthony J. Giard of Ellington, whom he adored; three brothers Doug (Joan) of Bourne, MA, Scott ( Kathy) of Ellington, and Bruce (Kim) of Stafford; two nieces Nicole and Amy; two nephews Michael and David; as well as many cousins and long time friends. He loved you all.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, 10 am at St. Bernard's Church, Rockville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Wapping Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
