
Charles "Bud" Batchelor, 90, of Vernon, beloved husband for almost 60 years to the late Margaret (Amundsen) Batchelor (May 28, 2016), passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Westside Care Center in Manchester.
Born in Queens, NY, the son of the late Charles and Anna (Lorenz) Batchelor, he grew up and lived in Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, NY before moving to Vernon fifty-eight years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1989, Bud was employed by White Oak Construction Company for 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 559. Bud proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a railroad enthusiast and he also enjoyed model railroading. He was a loving and devoted, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Marmurowski and her husband Philip, Dawn Walker and her husband Curtis, all of Las Vegas, NV, and Robin House and her husband David of Merrimack, NH; his grandchildren, Mylissa Kessler, Philip Jayson Marmurowski, Shannon Ford, Robert and Kyle Walker and Sarah and Rachel House; three great grandchildren, Alex, Abby and Gabe Kessler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at Charles' home on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
