
Doris (Plourde) Derosier, 83, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Joseph “Ed” Derosier, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Born in Houlton, Maine, the daughter of the late Paul and Yvonne (Colins) Plourde, she grew up and lived in Houlton, Maine before moving to Connecticut in 1956, and she has lived in Vernon for most of her life. Doris liked reading, and doing puzzles. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Steve Derosier and his wife Dora of Forestville, David Derosier of Vernon, Lynne DuPerry of Granby, and Richard Derosier and his wife Wendy of Schenectady, NY; five grandchildren, Chris, Allyson, Michelle, Jordan, and Benjamin; two sisters, Frances Cunliffe of Houlton, ME, and Gladys Denyer and her husband Clarence of Vernon, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, a sister, and her special sister, Cecile Haggerty.

Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5 - 8 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
