Vernon Obituary: Faith Lyman, 104

Faith R. Lyman, 104, lifelong resident of Vernon, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Vernon Manor.

Faith was born in Vernon on September 24, 1913 to the late Alfred and Florence (Dart) Lyman on the Lyman brother's dairy farm. She was a lifelong member of Talcottville Congregational Church. She worked with CIGNA with various clerical positions, while staying busy as a lifelong member of the Vernon Grange.

Faith is survived by her nephew, Kevin Lyman of Waltham, MA; her niece, Jane McMurtry of Henrietta, NY; as well as her special friend and caregiver, Elaine Newcomb. Aside from her parents, Faith was predeceased by her son, Dwight Lyman.

Calling hours are being held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, (Route 83) Vernon, from 2 - 4 pm. Her Funeral Service is being held on Monday, February 12, 2018 directly at Talcottville Congregational Church, 13 Elm Hill Road, (Main Street) Talcottville, Vernon at 10 am followed by interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
