Vernon Obituary: Germaine Caron, 86

Condolences to her family and friends.

Germaine (Guillerault) Caron, 86, of East Hartford, formerly of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Alberie Caron died peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Vernon Manor.

She was born on August 27, 1930 in Biddeford, ME, daughter of the late George and Yvonne (Thibodeau) Guillerault. Germaine was a resident of South Windsor for over 50 years, before moving to East Hartford in 2009. While in South Windsor she was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Germaine worked helping her husband with their family business, Caron General Contractors. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Germaine was a kind, caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She leaves her children, Michael Caron and his wife Joyce of Stafford, Gilbert Caron and his wife Linda of East Hartford, Susan Whalen and her husband Timothy of Enfield and Ronald Caron and his wife Dena of Manchester; her brother, Albert Guillerault of Biddeford, ME; 10 grandchildren, Douglas, Jason, David, Christopher, Shanon, Michael, Shaun, Kyle, Kristin and Marisa; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandsons, Jason Whalen and Mark Caron, three brothers and two sisters.

The Caron family wishes to offer a special thanks to all the staff at Vernon Manor Health Care Center for their care, compassion and kindness.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, October 29, 2016, 9 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; followed a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church in South Windsor. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor. Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
