
Isabel Marie (Grezel) Ungewitter, 86, of East Haven and formerly of Windsor and Florida, beloved wife of the late Charles “Chip” Ungewitter, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018.
Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Henry and Edna (McNeill) Grezel, she was raised in Rockville where she graduated from Rockville High School and attended Central Connecticut State College in New Britain.
She met and married her husband Chip after college in May of 1953 and worked with him as a bookkeeper in the family automotive business for many years. They lived and raised their family in Windsor before moving to Florida. They attended the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Isabel was proud to be a survivor of the Hartford Circus Fire and enjoyed playing the piano, loved music, old movies, and being active and involved with the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She leaves two daughters Cindy J. Genzano and her husband Robert of East Haven and Mary E. McLaughlin and her husband Bernard of Enfield; six grandchildren Chelsea, Julia, and Robyn Genzano; and Sean, Brendan, and Hannah McLaughlin; a great granddaughter Leona Genzano; a sister Lois Ann Koch and her husband James of NY; and nephews Michael and Paul Koch.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 1-2 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2 PM at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave. Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
