James Perry Lane, Jr. of Vernon departed this life on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Rockville General Hospital.
He was born in Elba, Alabama September 14, 1936 to the late James Perry Lane Sr. and Pauline Lane-Carter. James spent many years in Hartford, attending local schools and graduated from Weaver High School in 1955. Upon graduation he served three years in the Army.
James worked at NCR for several years as a Systems Engineer. James was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

James is survived by his loving and devoted wife Eleanor Tyson Lane, his son Randall P. Lane and his wife Wendy from Los Angeles, CA and his daughter Hollye Lane-Mitchell and husband Leon Mitchell from Hamden; sisters Mary Emma Lane of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lucia and husband Gregory Ferguson of Katy, TX, and Carol Lane of Boston, MA.
Celebration of Life Services are Saturday June 16, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church 350 Albany Avenue, Hartford. There will be calling hours from 10am-12pm. Celebration of Life Services will be held immediately after the calling hours.
