Vernon Obituary: Janet Bradford, 70

Condolences to her family and friends.

Janet L. (Craig) Bradford, 70, of Rockville, beloved wife of William G. Bradford, died peacefully, Tuesday February 9, 2016 with her family at her side.

Janet was born April 21, 1945 in Hartford, daughter of the late John & Edna (Reinfurt) Craig. Janet was a 1964 Graduate of Conard High School in West Hartford. She earned her Associates Degree from the University of Hartford and attended Quinnipiac University to become a Cytotechnologist.

William and Janet were married on October 18, 1975 in Manchester. She worked at Windham Hospital for several years before beginning her career as a Mom. Janet lived in Rockville most of her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Dan & Karen Bradford and Jeremy & Debbie Bradford all of Vernon as well as three grandchildren, Joseph Bradford, Julianne Bradford and Eliana Bradford. She also leaves her sister Dorothy Soderquist of Wethersfield and nephew Edward Soderquist of Enfield. Janet was predeceased by her grandson David Bradford and her brother-in-law John Soderquist.

Janet’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Blair Manor in Enfield for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 13, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will be private in Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Rocky Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Ave., 1st Floor, Hartford, CT. 06112-1269 or to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Dr., New Haven, CT. 06511.
