
John R. Morin, 62 of Vernon, loving husband for eleven years of Sallyann C. (Quagliano) Morin, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hartford Hospital from health complications caused by ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
John was born in Manchester on January 19, 1955, son of the late Joseph A. Morin and Yvette T. (LeBlanc) Morin of Ellington. He was raised in Manchester, graduated from East Catholic High School with the Class of 1973, and has been a resident of Vernon since 2007.
Prior to his illness John was the manager of the night crew for the Highland Park Markets for twenty six years. He was an avid ten-pin bowler and enjoyed fishing among other hobbies.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sisters and a brother, Louise Tedesco and her husband James, Micheline Nollez, Ronald Morin and his wife Maureen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2, at 10:30 AM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester with burial to follow in the East Cemetery in Manchester. A visiting time for family and friends will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
