
Lillian (Damboise) Martin, 99, of Vernon, beloved wife of 47 years to the late Rennie Eloi Martin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at home with her family at her side.
Born in Van Buren, Maine, the daughter of the late Hyancinthe and Almida (Marquis) Damboise, she grew up and lived in Caribou, Maine, East Hartford and Daytona Beach, Florida before moving to Vernon in 2007. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Lillian enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and especially making crafts. She was a Charter member of Our Lady of Hope, Council of Catholic Women in Port Orange, Florida. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Rockville.

She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mary Ann Martin of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Stanley and Susan Martin of Hampton, James and Clare Martin of Enfield, and Michael and Patricia Martin of Vernon; five grandchildren, Scott Martin, Christina Thurston, and Daniel, Sheena and Danielle Martin; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Damboise of East Hartford, Jacqueline Villiger of Tucson, Arizona, and Myra Damboise of Wethersfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Martin, and Doris Gabler.
Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will be private.
