Vernon Obituary: Marcus Donahue, 45

Condolences to his family and friends.

Marcus K. Donahue, 45, of Long Island, NY, died on December 3, 2017 after a long illness.

He was born on August 12, 1972 to Annick (Dejax) Donahue and the late Robert Walter Donahue, in Manchester. He graduated from Rockville High School, and attended Southern Connecticut State University. Marcus worked as a Professional Tennis Instructor as owner and operator of M.D. Tennis and Golf, West Hampton, NY.

Marcus enjoyed the beaches of Long Island, spending time with his dog, Coach. He loved the NYC nightlife, and getting together with friends. He was a fan of the New England Patriots and loved all the local area teams.

Aside from his mother, Annick Donahue, Marcus is survived by his brothers, Christopher Donahue, of Brownfield, ME, Jason and Ann Donahue, of South Windsor; nieces, Madison and Riley; nephew Zachary; Godson, Nolan Persons, of East Hampton, NY; dear friends, Brent Mikkelson and his wife Carol, of Willington, Joaneileen Coughlan and her husband John, of Manasquan, NJ, Deborah and Peter Fass, of NY, NY; and many other dear friends from the NYC Metro and Hampton areas.

Visitation will be held at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, (Route 83) Vernon, on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm with a service in the funeral home at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcus’ memory may be made to a local animal shelter of donor’s choice.
