
Mary (Denick) Wallbillich, 87, of Vernon, beloved wife of 63 years to Andrew Wallbillich, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Rockville General Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Clayton and Anna (Schmidt) Denick, she grew up and lived in Liverpool, NY, Syracuse, NY and Ellington before moving to Vernon over 53 years ago. She was a graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, Class of 1953. Prior to her retirement, Mary was a nurse's aide for 37 years at the former Rockville Memorial Nursing Home. She was a longtime devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vernon. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary Getty of Vernon, David Wallbillich and his wife Sharon of Vernon, and Michael Wallbillich of Vernon; two grandchildren, Shannon and Brandon Getty both of Vernon; a great grandson, Alex Cortes of Vernon; a sister, Elma Daniel of Garland, TX, and two nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Denick.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery.
