Vernon Obituary: Patricia Boreyko, 85

Patricia (Sheldon) Boreyko, 85, of Vernon, former wife of the late John Boreyko, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Lockman) Sheldon, she grew up and lived in Hartford, and the Elmwood section of West Hartford before moving to Vernon over 22 years ago. She enjoyed painting and art. Cape Cod was an annual pilgrimage.

Prior to her retirement, Patricia worked at the front desk at the Francis Pitkat Congregate Living Center in Vernon, and she was very proud of her involvement with all of the residents, friends, and staff.

She is survived by her children, John Boreyko and wife Victoria of Chapel Hill, NC; Linda Bailey and husband Thomas of Davenport, FL; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristen, and Caitlin; three great grandchildren, Aaron, Asa, and Micah, and several dear friends.

Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 11 to 12 noon followed by a memorial service to begin at 12 noon at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Interment will be private.
