
Pauline (Frechette) Graves, 81, of Ellington, loving wife of 60 years to Charles Graves, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Raymond and Cecilia (Duguay) Frechette, she grew up in New Bedford, MA and lived in Hartford before moving to Ellington over 53 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1999, Pauline was the office manager for Good Sports in Manchester for twenty years. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Rockville and was a past president of the St. Bernard’s Church Ladies Guild. Pauline was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose, and she was a volunteer worker at the Rockville Elks Club. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Susan Sansabrino and her husband John of Plantation, FL, Joseph Graves and his wife Tracey of Ellington, and Donna Charette and her husband Paul of Ellington; her “great eight” grandchildren, Paul, Carol, Marc, Jessica, Charleen, Joseph Jr., Carmine and John, along with Renae, Emily, Jessica, Andrew, and Dennis; twenty-four great grandchildren, lead by Ashley, who was always her baby; two brothers, Raymond Frechette and his wife Linda, and Roland Frechette and his wife Helen, all of Olivia, NC; a sister, Irene Bray of Windsor; a special niece, Celia; a special nephew (her Godson), John; her two Goddaughters, Terry Jo and Diane, and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Pauline was also predeceased by her son, Kenneth Graves, her daughter, Catherine Stiles, her sister, Lorraine Butterfield, and her good friend, Judy Saxton.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse & Health Services of CT, Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
