Vernon Obituary: Richard Fortin, 78

Richard A. Fortin, 78, of Rockville, beloved husband of the late Janet Fortin died peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 4, 1938 in Hartford, the son of the late James and Edna (Buchanan) Fortin. He was the owner of D&D Auction Gallery on Pearl St. in Enfield. He had a retirement home on Joe’s Pond in Vermont.

He is survived by his two daughters, Michele Boyle and Denice Fortin both of Windsor Locks; his brother, Earl Fortin of Ellington; his dear friend Norah Gadomski and family, and the staff at Norah’s Place.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 – 4 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, CT 06088. Funeral service and burial will be private.
