
Rita R. (Guay) Dulude, 97, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Normand Dulude, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Rita was born August 13, 1920 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Arthur and Roseanna (Tetreault) Guay. Rita was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Joseph Church in Rockville. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Mémère loved family gatherings and was ready anytime for a game of scrabble, cards, the challenge of a good puzzle or a computer game. She was a wonderful cook, always making her favorite soups and desserts for all to enjoy. Her special joy was attending or watching videos of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their many activities over the years.

Sports were also part of her life, including bowling, the Celtics, Red Sox and UConn basketball. Prior to retirement she was employed by W.T. Grant and Sage Allen stores. Mémère lived a long full life and the memories of all the beautiful times we had with her will forever be in our hearts.
Loving and missing her dearly are her children, Robert Dulude and his wife Ann of Turnersville, NJ, Suzanne West and her husband Harwood of Ellington, and Pauline Suchecki and her husband Edwin of Ellington; six grandchildren, Michael Dulude and his wife Samantha, Stephen Dulude and his wife Monica, Kenneth West and his wife Bobbi Jo, Daniel West, Andrea Maningas, and Sharon Johndrow and her husband David; thirteen great-grandchildren, Madison, Isabella, Kyle, Samantha, Ryan, Tyler, Emma, Liz, Garrett, Alex, Ashley, Katelin, Megan and numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet parakeet, Petey. She was predeceased by her granddaughter’s husband, Joseph Maningas, two brothers and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 33 West Street, Rockville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Rockville.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
