Vernon Officials Post Christmas Tree Disposal Procedures

VERNON, CT — Town officials this week announced the annual Christmas Tree disposal procedures.

Real trees will be collected curbside the first two weeks on January, weather-permitting.

Residents must clear the trees of all decorations, including all tinsel. Trees should not be in plastic bags.

Real trees can also be disposed of during the month of January at the Vernon Transfer Station on Hockanum Boulevard. Punch cards and permits are not required. The transfer station is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
