Vernon PD Host a Tip-A-Cop

Vernon Police Department host a fundraiser for Special Olympics Connecticut

Vernon, CT - Officers with the Vernon Police Department hosted a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at 99 Restaurant & Pub to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Connecticut on Tuesday, November 1st. This was the first Tip-A-Cop that Vernon Police Department has participated in, but that didn't stop them from hitting their fundraising goal. While being teamed up with the restaurant staff, officers would seat guests, run drink and food orders and bus tables in order to earn tips. By the end of their shift all of the tips totaled to $2,200, that will benefit athletes statewide.

Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run event that benefits Special Olympics Connecticut. If you are interested in attending a Tip-A-Cop or any other Law Enforcement Torch Run events, please visit www.soct.org.
