Lisa Moody, a founder of the Vernon Pet Pantry, said each donation can make a difference for local families and their pets. “Every can or bag of food helps - and helps ensure that a beloved family pet doesn’t go hungry,” she said.
The donation drive spans Vernon, South Windsor, Manchester, Bolton, and Tolland, giving residents several options to contribute. The announcement does not list a cutoff date beyond the pantry’s statement that its current dog food supply will be gone on Monday.
For now, the pantry's message is straightforward: donate dry or canned dog food at one of the listed sites. Based on the information provided, the immediate next step for supporters is to bring donations to the Hockanum Valley Community Council or another participating location before the pantry’s remaining supply is exhausted.
