Vernon Police Canine Team Earns Top Finish At Dream Ride Competition

VERNON, CT — Vernon police Officer Brandon Zawadski and his canine partner Franco earned first place in obedience category and finished fifth overall at the 2026 Dream Ride K9 Competition, according to the Vernon Police Department.

The team competed in the event, putting their training, skills and teamwork to the test against other K-9 teams.

Zawadski and Franco took first place in the obedience category and finished fifth overall in the competition.

The Vernon Police Department congratulated the pair for representing the department and the town at the event.
