Vernon Police Charge Man for Drunken Doughnuts While Exiting Pool Hall
The incident took place at a local billiards hall.

VERNON, CT — A Glastonbury man wound up with a trio of criminal charges after some shenanigans leaving a Vernon billiards hall, police said.
The incident took place at 12:23 a.m. Monday, police said. A Vernon officer was on patrol along Route 83 when he saw a driver in a Ford Ranger beginning to exit the parking lot at Big Shots, 500 Talcottville Road, the local address for that spot in Route 83.
The driver, identified as 33-year-old Ronald Benson of Glastonbury, was spinning the vehicle's rear-end around, doing "doughnuts" in the parking lot, police said.

Benson then exited the parking lot at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing several vehicles while driving over a grassy area and a curb, police said.
He was charged with drunken driving after failing a series of standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was also charged with reckless driving, police said.
He is due in court on March 13, police said.
