Vernon Police Enforce 30 Violations At Click-It Checkpoint

VERNON, CT — Vernon police have released the statistics from the Click-it-or-Ticket enforcement checkpoint over the Thanksgiving holiday period.

Here they are:

• 10 seatbelt tickets
• 18 cell phone tickets
• 1 other ticket (equipment violation)
• 1 driving under suspension summons
• 1 marijuana infraction

The checkpoint took place Nov. 26 along Whitney T. Ferguson road at the Exit 66 interchange with Interstate-84.

The operation was done in conjunction with Metro Traffic Services and was funded with Federal Highway Safety money for Click-it-or-Ticket campaigns.
