Vernon Police ID Those Involved In Fatal Crash

Vernon Police have released the identities of those involved in a fatal crash on Friday.

VERNON, CT — Vernon Police on Sunday released the identities of those involved in a fatal motor vehicle crash on Friday on West Street near Regan Road.

According to a report, at 6:08 pm, Vernon Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to a three-car crash on West Street at Regan Road. According to a report, a Hyundai Elantra sedan being operated by Munira Qureshi, 31, of Amherst, MA, had collided with a Chevrolet sedan operated by Randall Berube, 61, of Ellington, CT.

Qureshi was transported to Rockville Hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead, according to a report.

Berube was brought to Hartford Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, a report indicates.

A third vehicle, a Subaru sedan operated by Kevin Zorda, 49, of Enfield, was also involved in the crash. Zorda sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene, according to a report.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges had been filed as of Sunday evening.
