Vernon Police Investigating Shots Fired in Rockville

VERNON, CT — Police are investigating the report of gunshots fired in a neighborhood in the Rockville section of town on Monday.

At 12:50 p.m. on Monday, Vernon Police Department received a single report of gunshots in the area of Ward Street and Prospect Street.

The caller was not from the area and was therefore unsure of the exact location, police said.

Officers responded and found evidence indicating shots had been fired, police said.

Officers canvassed the area and learned several people had heard the gunshots, police said.
