Vernon Police Looking For Missing Mom, Kids
A mom and her children have gone missing in Vernon, and police are looking for tips their whereabouts.

VERNON, CTR — Vernon police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a mother and her two children, for whom a Silver Alert was issued early Friday afternoon.
Anjaknie Roundtree, 36, and her two children, 4-year-old Tykeese Palmer and 2-year-old Chloe Palmer, were reported missing Thursday.
Roundtree was last seen on Tuesday in the area of Grove Street in Vernon. She was seeking a ride to a Manchester hotel, police said.

She and her two children eventually left the area on foot, police said.
Police said Roundtree does not have a vehicle and uses public transportation to get around, usually with a double-stroller. Roundtree had previously gone to Virginia in February to apply for jobs, police said.
