Vernon Police Nab Drug Stash During Traffic Stop

VERNON, CT — Vernon police nabbed a suspected drug dealer at a recent traffic stop, an arrest report indicates.

The incident took place at 11:54 a.m. on Feb. 17. While on patrol along the 100 block of Talcottville Road, an officer noticed a vehicle without a front plate and pulled it over, according to an arrest report.

Inside the vehicle was a "large quantity" of fentanyl, according to an arrest report.

Police also discovered crack cocaine, Adderall, Clonazepam and "various forms" of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

The driver, identified as Luis K. Serrano-Carrasquillo, 34, of Hartford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and failure to display plates.

He is due in court on March 3.
