Vernon Police: 'Reckless' Moped Driver Nabbed with Drugs

He is due on court later this month.

VERNON, CT — A man who was driving a moped in the left lane on Route 83 and passing cars at an intersection in between lanes was stopped ans had traces of cocaine on him, Vernon Police said.

Scott Schiehofer, 32, of Waterford, was pulled over after passing cars in between lanes at 3:24 p.m. on Sept. 15, police said. His arrest was entered into the log book Monday.

Cocaine traces and paraphernalia associated with the drug were fond during a search, police said.

He was charged for that and also failure to wear eye protection and is due on Court on Sept. 27, police said.
