Update: Vernon Police Release Photos of Robbery Suspect
The robbery occurred at the People's Bank in the Tri City Plaza.
Police are investigating after a female suspect robbed the People’s United Bank Vernon Circle Branch Tuesday morning.
The robbery occurred shortly before 11 p.m., said Detective James Grady.
The female suspect is about 5-feet-6-inches tall, in her late 20’s to early 30’s and was wearing a dark colored jacket, a “bomber or “trapper” style hat with faux fur, blue jeans and tan work boots.

She handed a note to a teller that demanded money and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Grady said the surrounding area was busy during the time of the robbery and it is likely someone saw something that could aid police in their investigation.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed something or has information to call police at 860-872--9126. Calls can be made anonymously.
