Vernon Police Searching For Missing 12-Year-Old Girl

A 12-year-old girl went missing Thursday night, Vernon police said.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Police Department is investigating reports of a missing 12-year-old.

The girl is being identified as Zaylie Neron, police said.

Vernon Police Friday afternoon issued a Silver Alert for Neron. She was last seen on Thursday at 10:30p.m. She left her house on foot in the Rockville section of Vernon, police said.

Neron is being described as a 12-year-old white female, standing 5-foot-1 and weighing 148 pounds with light brown hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black-and-white flannel shirt, a winter hat and black slippers, police said. She was also carrying a black backpack, police said.
