Vernon Police Snag 1 Renegade Motorcycle Driver, Looking For A Second
Two motorcycle drivers have been regularly behaving badly on bikes in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police said this week that they have corralled one renegade motorcycle driver and are still looking for another.
Both have been speeding and driving recklessly in town, police said.
On Oct. 2, Vernon police arrested 28-year-old Jakhir Alston-Anglin, who lives in the Rockville section of Vernon. That day, he was seen on both Hartford Turnpike and Talcottville Road driving his a red-and-white motorcycle at a high rate of speed and even sped onto Interstate 84 in an attempt to avoid police.

Police said he has been behaving similarly on the bike numerous times.
Police finally caught up to him that day and was charged with 13 crimes ranging from moving and clerical violations and interfering with police.

He is due in court on Nov. 15.
Meanwhile authorities have released images — captured from their own surveillance equipment at police headquarters - of a dirt bike rider who has been weaving in and out of traffic, doing wheelies and driving at high speeds on several roads for several months. He has also been seen on the Rails-to-Trails system, on which motorized vehicles are prohibited, police said.
The rider is usually wearing all black with a distinct orange helmet, police said.
