Vernon Police Track Down Suspect In Union Street Assault Case

A suspect in a Vernon assault case was located in Hartford, police said.

VERNON, CT — A teen who eluded police last week after an assault incident on Union Street in Vernon has been apprehended and charged, records show.

Authorities caught up with 19-year-old Euan Lorez Eleuthere on Monday on Morningside Street West in Hartford, according to case records. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with:

  • Home invasion
  • First-degree assault
  • Second-degree threatening
  • First-degree reckless endangerment (seven counts)
  • Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle
  • Risk of injury to. child (five counts)

A search ensued in the Rockville section of Vernon on Dec. 6 after police received a call about an assault. Local and state police and a regional canine unit were involved in the search.

Eleuthere was able to get away from the scene, but investigators eventually traced his whereabouts to a location in Hartford, according to case records.

Eleuthere was arraigned Tuesday in Rockville Superior Court and posted a $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 23, judicial system records indicate.
