Ramps in Vernon, Tolland and Willington are slated for paving work next week.

VERNON, CT — Paving work along the northern reaches of Interstate 84 will be prompting overnight ramp closures beginning Sept. 11. Vernon ramps are included.
In all, ramps in Vernon, Tolland and Willington are affected. Work on the highway ramps will take place between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to state officials.
Various ramps will be closed as the paving progresses. The state Department of Transportation will have detour plans in place when ramps are closed.

Not all of these ramps will be closed at the same time, DOT Officials said.
The contractor plans to start paving on the eastbound side of I-84, so it is likely that exits 69 and 70 eastbound on-ramps will be the first to be affected on Sept. 11.
