VERNON, CT — Vernon's top educator had received a major award on behalf of the locally hosted regional adult education program.
Vernon Superintendent Dr. Joseph Macary received the Dr. Albert J. Kerkin Award Friday.
The Dr. Albert J. Kerkin Award is presented annually to an individual or organization that has provided exemplary service to VRABE and its students.

The mission of the VRABE program is to offer dynamic, multicultural services in an atmosphere of respect, appreciation, and acceptance of all.
