What does it all add up to? 

Here's a look at Vernon's recycling efforts by the numbers from the last fiscal year - 2011-12: 

• Single stream recycling - 2,570 tons.

• Metal disposed of at the Transfer Station - 168 tons.

• Electronics disposed of at the Transfer Station - 78 tons.

• Total brush recycled from four grindings over 12 months - 10,000 cubic yards. 

• Waste oil recycled - 770 gallons.
