Vernon Registrars: Early Voting Set To Begin Next Week
The Vernon Registrars of Voters have sent out a reminder about early voting for this fall's election.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Registrars of Voters have sent out a reminder about early voting for this fall's election:
Want to skip the lines on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th and quickly and easily vote for president and other federal and state offices?
Try the new “early voting” in Connecticut. You can vote in person safely and securely and skip the lines at the polls on Election Day. CT is the 47th state to adopt early voting.
Early voting starts on October 21 and runs every day through November 3. Voting will happen each day between 10 AM and 6 PM, except for October 29th and 31st when voting will occur between 8 AM and 8 PM. The early voting location in Vernon is Room 118 of Center 375, 375 Hartford Turnpike (Route 30).
When you arrive to vote early, you will be checked in and receive a ballot with a special envelope. You will fill in your ballot at a privacy booth and seal it in the special envelope. You will then place the sealed envelope in a secured, locked receptacle. Ballots will stay unopened and locked up until Election Day.
Early voting is quick and easy and you will be able to skip the potentially long lines at the polls on Election Day.
So join us at Center 375 and vote early between October 21st and November 3rd.
