Vernon Resident Charged With Felony In Food Stamp Fraud Case: Warrant
A Vernon woman has been charged with first-degree larceny in a state food assistance fraud investigation, state police said.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon woman has been charged with first-degree larceny in a state food assistance fraud investigation, state police said.
Grisely Cordero, 32, was served a warrant on July 17, charging her with two counts of providing a false statement in addition to the felony larceny charge, according to an arrest report.
According to a warrant, Cordero failed to report that she returned to work at a Connecticut wholesale distribution center after a leave while receiving state Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.

She received SNAP benefits between Aug. 31, 2023, and May 2, 2024, after falsely reporting her work status, according to a warrant.
She posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled for an Aug. 12 court appearance, according to an arrest report.
