Vernon Santa House Fundraiser on Tap for the Weekend

VERNON, CT — The annual fundraising party for Vernon's Santa House is on tap for Saturday, Sept. 8, at the VFW Hall on West Street.

The event is slated for 1 to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $15 (children 10 and younger are free). Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Legion hall, 114 West Street.

The event features a barbecue, a DJ, games, a bounce house, a raffle and a visit from Santa.

Raffle prizes include:

• 100,000 Delta Airlines miles
• 4 tickets to a Yankees-Red Sox game this month at Fenway Park
• 2 tickets to a Patriots-Chiefs game at Gillette Stadium
• Big E tickets
• Hartford Stage tickets
• Six flags tickets
• Auto detailing package

The Santa House is located at Vernon's Central Park, across from Town Hall, for the holiday season. Children from the area can visit Santa during set hours.
