Vernon School Resource Officer Riding In Style For 2026-27

VERNON, CT — When classes begin Thursday for the 2026-27 academic year, Vernon School resource officer Cara Momnie will be riding in style.

Enter the Ram Mobile, which brings a superhero quality to the program.

Indeed, Vernon has a new SRO cruiser and it has a distinct Rockville High School theme.

Officially, the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor is a "repurposed" cruiser, but with a sleek black paint job and Rockville Ram logos all over, it looks closer to new than used. The wraps were done in-house.

The cruiser will be on display at the high school Thursday morning.

It will also be a frequent visitor to other schools in town.

Police said the new cruiser will make the school resource officer program more visible and add a little school spirit to the mix.
