Vernon School System Looking To Fill Several Vacancies
A job fair is on tap for this week as the Vernon public school system tries to get vacant positions filled.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public School system has scheduled a job fair for Thursday to promote several openings in the local education network, including several "top" positions.
The employment fair is on tap for Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Rockville High School library/media center, 70 Loveland Hill Road.
The school system has vacancies for multiple positions, including special education teacher, Spanish teacher, para-educators, speech and language pathologist, transportation and logistics coordinator, the director of adult education, and school bus drivers.

The Vernon Public School system offers "competitive pay and top-notch benefits," including health insurance and retirement, officials said.
Vernon Public School system leaders will be on hand to answer questions, discuss career paths in education and
conduct immediate on-site interviews with people who attend.

is the place for you," Assistant Superintendent of Schools and Human Resources Director Robert Testa said.
While teachers are primarily responsible for educating students, all Vernon Public School system employees "play a
role in educating Vernon's children," Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary said.
"Every member of our team contributes to student success," Macary said. "Teachers, paras, school bus
drivers, custodians and cafeteria workers help make our award-winning schools safe, welcoming and dynamic
